As part of the formation of the ASI Alliance, AGIX token holders were invited to make their voices heard about our multi-billion token merger with decentralized AI industry leaders Fetch.ai and Ocean Protocol from April 4th, 2024, to April 16th, 2024.
The ASI Alliance proposal prompted thoughtful discussions and debates within the SingularityNET community. These conversations demonstrated a healthy exchange of ideas and perspectives regarding the optimal path for decentralized AI development, and we thank our community for engaging in respectful and constructive debates.
Once the voting period closed, a supermajority of AGIX Soon to become ASI token voters had approved the ASI Alliance proposal. This historic decision marked the formation of the largest open-source, decentralized network dedicated to accelerating the development of decentralized AGI and, shortly after, ASI.
In the spirit of transparency, we published a report presenting an analysis of the voting process, examining factors such as voter turnout and vote distribution, simulating different scenarios, and highlighting the measures implemented to ensure the integrity of the results.
We were honored to receive the Best Crypto AI Project Award at the Blockchain Life Awards 2024. This recognition highlights our contributions to the advancement of decentralized AI technologies.
We are grateful to our dedicated team and the wider SingularityNET community for their unwavering support in pursuing our shared vision creating decentralized, democratic, inclusive, and beneficial AGI and, shortly after, ASI.
As part of our ongoing commitment to advancing the field of decentralized AI, we were pleased to announce the launch of Deep Funding Round 4 (DFR4). This initiative is designed to support a wide range of projects that seek to innovate and enhance the capabilities of SingularityNETs decentralized AI platform.
Through DFR4, we aim to continue our mission of democratizing AI development by empowering creators and technologists worldwide to bring their visionary ideas to life.

The SingularityNETs Technical Tuesdays series explores the OpenCog Hyperon framework for AGI and beyond and highlights how we are working to translate our AGI R&D ideas into advanced systems ready to deal with real-world use cases.
On April 23, 2024, we invited AI developers and those interested in the technical aspects of AGI R&D to join us for the third session of the series LLMs and AGI: OpenCog Hyperons Neural Space to discuss why the incremental improvement of modern Large Language Models (LLMs) is not a viable approach to achieving human-level AGI, the role of LLMs in AGI R&D and integrating LLMs into OpenCog Hyperon.
On April 30th, 2024, we held a special Technical Tuesdays session dedicated to the Alpha release of OpenCog Hyperon. This release introduces foundational components, including the MeTTa (Meta Type Talk) language interpreter and the Distributed Atomspace (DAS).
A panel of SingularityNET experts, composed of CEO Dr. Ben Goertzel, Chief AGI Officer Dr. Alexey Potapov, and CSO Dr. Matt Ikle, delved into MeTTas capabilities. They highlighted the novel languages capacity to facilitate introspective and self-modifying programs essential for the recursive self-improvement often associated with AGI. MeTTas flexibility sets it apart, supporting neural-symbolic reasoning and even handling uncertainties through probabilistic logical reasoning.
Dr. Potapov emphasized that while MeTTa takes inspiration from OpenCog Classics Atomese, it has evolved into a distinct language for cognitive computations with unique properties. Unlike conventional programming languages, MeTTa embraces very different AI strategies. It is designed to serve two purposes: allowing humans to script portions of AGI cognitive processes, and enabling AGI-related learning and reasoning algorithms to engage in their own programming activities.

During April, we expanded our Core Contributor group from 31 to 41 members and streamlined the process for quarterly budget approvals.
Budget requests have been submitted for the formation of new workgroups. Notable proposals include those submitted by the LATAM Ambassadors and the Africa Ambassadors guilds to increase geographical representation.
An AI Ethics workgroup is forming to support the Global Ethics initiative launched during the Beneficial AGI Summit in Panama.
These new workgroups will complement our ongoing efforts in education, video production, content creation, translation, archiving, treasury management, R&D, onboarding, and governance.

CEO Dr. Ben Goertzel took the DWF Labs Stage at TOKEN2049 Dubai today to discuss the path to decentralized superintelligence.

SingularityNET participated in Web Summit Rio 2024, contributing expertise to discussions surrounding the advancement of AI. Our Chief AGI Officer, Dr. Alexey Potapov, and Hyperon Project Manager, Vita Potaova, represented SingularityNET in various capacities.

As the hospitality industry embraces technological integration, the Future Hospitality Summit in Riyadh hosted pivotal discussions on how AI, IT, and the human touch are coming together to redefine guest experiences.

CEO Dr. Ben Goertzel joined Danielle Tichner, CEO of Founder W-SOURCE LTD, Jiahao Sun, Founder of Flock.io, and Tom Howard, writer at Network0, on the ETHDubai stage to explore the past, present, and future of decentralized AI.
Dr. Goertzel shared his experiences dating back to the 1990s when he first envisioned the potential of AI running in a decentralized manner.
While explaining how past limitations in speed and cost hindered progress, he highlighted that the advent of blockchain (Ethereum in particular) enabled the development of decentralized platforms like SingularityNET.
Dr. Goertzel also emphasized that decentralized AI ecosystems, fueled by open-source development and blockchain-based deployment systems, have the potential to surpass centralized tech firms in the coming years.
The Narrative Fest gathered leading figures from the blockchain industry to explore the most compelling and impactful narratives that will define the next era of crypto innovation.
During the event, CEO Dr. Ben Goertzel sat down with the CEO of Ocean Protocol, Bruce Pon, and Eljaboom to discuss the formation of the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance and the future of decentralized AI.
The Narrative Fest also facilitated networking opportunities with the SingularityDAO team and their new partners, Sekuya and The Game Company.
We had the pleasure of attending AI Day at the Pontifical Oriental Institute in Rome, Italy to discuss the Churchs leadership in AI and explore how AI can serve the Churchs mission in areas such as education and administrative efficiency.
During the Conference, speakers discussed the ethical implications of AI, arguing that AI should be developed and used in a way that respects human dignity and promotes the Catholic Churchs values of justice and solidarity. They also highlighted how the Church can play a role in facilitating a conversation to help mitigate the downside of emerging technology.
A highlight of the Conference was the surprise appearance of Desdemona Robot from our ecosystem project Yaya Labs, who captivated the audience with her ability to answer questions and interact fluently in English, German, and Chinese.
