On June 20th, 2024, the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance announced significant progress and updates on the ASI token merger. Scheduled for implementation starting July 1, 2024, the token merger will temporarily consolidate SingularityNETs AGIX and Ocean Protocols OCEAN tokens into Fetch.ais FET, before transitioning to the ASI ticker symbol at a later date.
This two-phased process enables an efficient execution of the token merger, and outlines the timelines and crucial steps for token holders, ensuring a smooth and transparent process. The Alliance teams will continue to coordinate with stakeholders and necessary platforms to finalize the ticker updates in due time.
Phase I Overview:
Phase 1 of the ASI migration will be focused on merging the three tokens on the Ethereum Blockchain. Holders on other chains that wish to take part in the token merger during Phase 1 will need to bridge from their respective chains. Users that prefer to wait for the support of other chains such as Cardano or Polygon can opt to wait for Phase 2 should they desire.
Rebranding: The project will be rebranded as the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance across major platforms.
Token Merge: AGIX and OCEAN will temporarily merge into FET under the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance banner.
FET Trading: FET markets will remain open under the FET ticker without interruption.

The Antalya DigiExpo grounds opened up on June 29th, 2024, for the first Business Summit co-hosted by the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance and DigiCEX.
The Summit kicked off with an opening ceremony and a welcome address by Master of Ceremonies, Bill Inman, Mistress of Ceremonies, Sophia the Robot, alongside her sister Desdemona (Desi) Robot, followed by an interactive session on Superintelligence led by Sophia and her digital twin.
The ASI Show featured a panel discussion with our CEO Dr. Ben Goertzel, the CEO of Fetch.ai, Humayun Sheikh, and ASI Growth Product Manager, Andrea Armanni, exploring how decentralized AI can compete with Big Tech centralized entities to create a benevolent Superintelligence.
Following this eye-opening discussion, the Summit delved into the next evolution in computing. During his presentation, the CEO of HyperCycle, Toufi Saliba, spoke about scalable infrastructure for Superintelligence and innovation, creativity, and commercialization in the exciting world of ASI compute and the rapid rise of AI to AI transactions. The CTO of SingularityNET, Sergey Shalyapin, then discussed the creation of supercompute hubs for decentralized processing networks. Finally, Kabir Veitas and Ilija Radelji? from NuNet explored the decentralized compute network revolution.
A conversation with Dr. Ben Goertzel provided insights into his latest book, The Consciousness Explosion, which explores the profound implications of the Technological Singularity on humanity. Funding for AI and AGI projects was a key topic, with sessions on equity funding led by the Founder of SingularityNET partner Yunity, Ani Chahal Honan, the power of tokenomics to advance funding for AGIs next unicorns led by the Co-founder of SingularityDAO, Mario Casiraghi, Web3s impact on venture capital led by the Founder of Primal Capital, Trent Barnes, and our the decentralized accelerator Deep Funding led by our own Jan Horlings.
Decentralization strategies were also explored, including a fireside chat with Irfan Demirok and Trent Barnes from DigiCEX, the newly formed AI Web3 CEX, and a presentation by Bill Inman on Sentience, the first decentralized AI wallet designed for personalized data.
The Summit also touched upon the role of robots and gaming in the Superintelligence revolution, with discussions on AI human hive minds with Logan Golema and David Lake from Sentience Inc., and game distribution in Web3 with Brendan Dunne, Founder of The Play Foundation. Bill Inman, then gave a presentation showcasing Dr. Deepak Chopras AI twin powered by Twin Protocol and exploring the potential of digital twins.
The Summit concluded with a Super Launch Party featuring Desdemonas Dream Band and the sensational pop star, Desi.
A special thank you to all the presenters, panelists, and attendees who helped make this Business Summit a resounding success.
CEO Dr. Ben Goertzel took the SuperAI stage alongside Desdemona Robot from Yaya Labs to discuss the path from narrow AI to human-level Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and, subsequently, to Artificial Superintelligence (ASI).
Dr. Goertzel began by exploring the current state of the AI field, highlighting that while yet to reach the human level, narrow AI systems such as Large Language Models (LLMs) have shown remarkable capabilities across various fields. However, he cautioned that these very advancements are raising concerns about the capacity of centralized Big Tech companies to balance the dueling aspirations of making money and acting in the best interests of humanity.
Looking ahead, Dr. Goertzel expressed optimism about the future of AI, citing multiple promising approaches to beneficial AGI, notably our cognitive-level approach, OpenCog Hyperon, which integrates evolutionary learning, attractor neural networks, probabilistic logical inference, probabilistic programming, and other methods into a common framework allowing them to co-update a large knowledge metagraph. https://lnkd.in/e-dYJrEh
He also highlighted how the emergence of compelling alternatives to Big Tech such as the ASI Alliance and SingularityNET ecosystem projects like TrueAGI Inc., HyperCycle.ai, and NuNet will help ensure a decentralized, open, and beneficial future where AGI and ASI are not owned and controlled by any particular party with their own biased interests.
In a thought-provoking discussion, Dr. Ben Goertzel and Edward Snowden explored AI For Good and AI safety, warning of governments and corporations trying to wrest control of AI, potentially rendering the fast-developing technology less useful.
Dr. Goertzel advocated for beneficial AI that benefits all of humanity, rather than becoming a tool for control and profit in the hands of a powerful few. He further explained how creating an AGI with democratic decentralized control, teaching it compassionate values, and raising it to help humans, increases the odds of getting a beneficial AGI that builds beneficial ASI.
Snowden echoed Dr. Goertzels concerns, raising the alarm about the growing control major tech platform owners like Google have over AI content. He warned of the risk of powerful models being manipulated to push political agendas, highlighting the need for diverse and independent AI development.
We were proud to return for the second year in a row to The Next Web Conference in Amsterdam where CEO Dr. Ben Goertzel joined Aliya Grig (Evolwe), Ekaterina Almasque (OpenOcean), Dr. Vivienne Ming (Socos Labs), and Gary Shapiro (Consumer Technology Association) for a lively debate on the ethical implications of AI through the lens of humanism.
Dr. Goertzel discussed the importance of ethical AI development, advocating for its utilization in beneficial domains such as education, healthcare, and science, while cautioning against negative applications. He also highlights the need for decentralized AI develop
